1.1 Riverboat mast

Issue:   The riverboat should pass under bridges across the river. The ship has a high radio mast. When the water in the river rises, the boat starts hitting some bridges with the mast and it can be broken. The mast cannot be made shorter because the antenna and top light that it carries must be at a certain height.

Question: How can mast damage be avoided when passing under a bridge?
